Accessories After the Fact: The Warren Commission, the Authorities, and the Report
New York: Vintage Books, 1976.
First thus. Signed by Sylvia Meagher on the front free endpaper, inscribed to former owner and dated June 1981. xxxiii, [i], 477, [1] pp. Bound in wraps. Very Good+, wraps and contents toned with age, slight bump to front wrap along bottom edge. Nice shape overall.
A rare signed copy of first-generation JFK assassination researcher Sylvia Meagher's methodical refutation of the Warren Commission's conclusions, covering everything from the origin of the shots, the vanishing Mauser and package Oswald reputedly brought to work, Tippit's murder, mysterious deaths of wtinesses, the bizarre Presidential autopsy, etc. Arguably the best of the first generation JFK assassination conspiracy books, dense and measured in tone, which even managed to get praise from the opposing side of the JFK debate, the "Lone Nutters." It anticipates much of the better research into the assassination decades later, including that of Peter Dale Scott, who wrote the introduction that appears to be new with this edition, issued to coincide with the HSCA.
