Near Fine with light foxing to front joint and light wear at corners, minor toning to contents; edges untrimmed. The first collection of expressionistic prose by the notable Czech poet, theater critic, and father of the equally important poet, Ivan Blatny. He was a founding member of the post-War literary group Literarní skupina, which included members such as Milo Jirko, Joseph Knap, and A. M. Pisa. They remained active between 1921-1929 and famously published the magazine Host, which still runs to this day. Beautifully, yet minimally adorned with linocuts by Helena Bochorakova-Dittrichova who is widely recognized as the first female graphic novelist.
