Faint foxing and discoloration to endpapers, bookplate to front pastedown. In a Very Good+ unclipped dust jacket with sunned spine panel, moderate rubbing, and light foxing. Two short tears to folds, dampstaining to lower fold ends.
A signed association copy of the oft-cited history of the 1929 financial crash by John Kenneth Galbraith, a renowned Harvard professor and political activist. The recipient Arthur F. Burns was a key player in American economic policy for thirty years, serving as chairman of the Federal Reserve Board from 1970 to 1978. He was a personal friend of President Nixon, who — as it emerged during the Watergate scandal — had placed Galbraith on his notorious Enemies List.
