One of the most important comic books in history, printed by the pacifist group The Fellowship of Reconciliation in December of 1957, written for a wide variety of reading levels including children, and mostly given away to civil rights groups, churches, and schools. It tells the story of the bus boycott in Montgomery, Alabama led by MLK. It began in 1955 when Rosa Parks famously refused to give up her bus seat to a white person and was arrested. The following campaign to overturn segregation on busses was led by King, and utilized principles of nonviolence and coordinated, sustained protest in an unprecedented way.
