Mailer for the Flat Earth "Plane" Truth pamphlet sent circa 1967 to Vivien Greene, dollhouse expert and estranged wife of the famous English novelist Graham Greene. Seven mimeographed leaves stapled at upper left corner, folded twice. Very Good with light wear and toning, light soiling to exposed pages; cover sheet torn free from a rusty staple. Neat inscriptions in three colors of ballpoint pen to map page. Scarce.
British signwriter Samuel Shenton founded the International Flat Earth Research Society in 1956. The Society sent this mailer to Vivien Greene (her address label is on the final sheet verso) around 1967, several years before Shenton's death. The organization disbanded at the beginning of the 21st century, but it influenced the revival of Flat Earth ideas that would come a few years later immensely.
