The Revolt of the Cockroach People
San Francisco: Straight Arrow Books, 1973.

Jan '74 Aztlan." 258 pp. Bound in publisher's beige cloth decorated in blind and lettered in white on the spine. Very Good, slightly bumped corners, slight lean and a bowing to boards, in a Very Good+ unclipped dust jacket with light edgewear and soiling and rubbing to extremities.
The scarce semi-autobiographical Chicano Movement-themed novel, signed by Acosta. The radical lawyer and activist was fictionalized by Hunter S. Thompson as drug-gobbling "Dr. Gonzo" in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and disappeared the year he signed this book.
