First edition. The third issue of the literary and arts magazine. [80] pp. Bound in publisher's decorative wraps designed by Andy Warhol consisting of a series of perforated "Bomb Hanoi" stickers, intact. A list of contributors printed on the rear cover includes Margaret Randall added with a rubber-stamp cancel. Near Fine with light rubbing and soiling to covers, edges faintly toned with small closed tear to rear at top corner. A scarce issue featuring Charles Bukowski's poem "Drawing of a Band Concert on a Matchbox", works by Allen Ginsberg and Gerard Malanga. Warhol's cover employed a popular right-wing slogan, "Bomb Hanoi," to grab the attention of those who supported the war. The cover's perforated, glue-backed stamps that were intentionally designed to be torn out and pasted on public surfaces, transforming the work into a usable piece of street-level protest art.
