In a Very Good+ unclipped dust jacket with fading to spine, shallow loss at spine ends with 1" tear to front joint, and slight rubbing to covers. Lyon's photographic examination of motorcycle club subculture. Lauded for its influential approach to documentary photography, Lyon didn't just observe; he embedded himself with the Chicago Outlaws club for four years, participating in rides and gatherings to photograph them from within. A pioneering photobook that combines candid photography and forthright quotes from the bikers themselves. The monograph helped to shape the outlaw biker image in American pop culture, and almost certainly inspired a young Dennis Hopper in directing the road drama film Easy Rider that was released a year after publication; signed copies are uncommon. Roth 101 pp. 190-191.
