Near Fine with very light wear to covers, scattered foxing to textblock edges, and light toning to contents. In a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with light toning, rubbing, and edgewear. Impressions from writing implement to front and back panels, pencil mark to front flap, and marker over serial number at upper corner of back flap. A fantastic copy of the Western first published in German in 1927 by B. Traven, whose real name remains unknown. John Huston adapted the novel into a hit film starring Humphrey Bogart in 1948. It won three Academy Awards and immortalized the line: "We don't need no badges!" Item #140948442
