First edition. Number 54 of a limited 72 copies signed by Jack Hirschman on the title leaf. Housed in a postmarked clasped manila envelope addressed by the poet to songwriter Robert Durand (1944-2024). 8 single leaves hand lettered and painted by Hirschman. Bound in the original bright green hand-drawn leather wraps with riveted inner sleeve. Near Fine with creasing and chip to lower corner of title leaf; a very fragile production. Light edge wear and oxidation to metal clasp on envelope. An entirely unique hand-painted artist's book of Kabbalah themed poetry by the social activist and prolific Beat poet. Sent by Hirschman to Oregon-based musician and co-songwriter for the Beau Drummels, Robert Durand. Though not a member, Durand would co-write numerous songs for the 60's folk rock band including their biggest top-10 hit "Just a Little." Quite scarce. Gonzalez 16.
