Very Good+ with moderate rubbing and light soiling to cloth, several stains to Volume I spine, and light foxing to textblock edges. Hinges starting, contents lightly toned, sharp crease to Volume I title page with paper loss at foot. Multiple marks of provenance to each front free endpaper, including ownership inscriptions dated 1890 and 1985 and stamp of the Stockton Theosophical Society of Stockton, California (to both volumes).
