Very Good with slight lean to binding, light wear at spine ends, soiling to fore edge, light offsetting at endsheets and moderate, splotchy staining to first few gatherings of contents. In a Very Good unclipped dust jacket with chipping to spine ends, corners and wear at extremities. Slight toning to covers with light overall soiling and closed tearing to edges; heavy crease to rear panel. The only mystery written under Taylor's nom de plume Freeman Dana; she was commissioned to write it by Bennett Cerf, Random House co-founder and frequent guest on the television program What's My Line?.
