Bound in publisher's full vellum stamped and lettered in gilt; top edge gilt. Near Fine with slight crimping to crown, light rubbing to gilt at front cover, and minor spotting and tanning to vellum. Lacking the silk tie, binding slightly tender with foxing to preliminaries, frontisguard and terminals; bookseller's ticket at rear end paper. A lovely production of the English cleric's collection of supernatural myth, ghostly tales and folklore further enhanced by Arthur Rackham's dreamlike pen and ink illustrations.
