First edition, limited issue, #6 of 75 numbered copies. Signed by Bukowski on the limitation page at rear and on his watercolor illustration tipped in at front. [vi], 89, [2] pp., printed on laid paper. Bound in publisher's multicolored coarse cloth, paper title label to spine, red endpapers; in an acetate jacket that is likely not original. Fine, light offsetting from printer's glue to corners of first few leaves, hint of foxing along top edge. Binding strong.
A beautiful and scarce first edition. This was Bukowski's first Black Sparrow publication, and 800 paperback copies were published simultaneously with the hardcover edition. Krumhansl 27c.
