The groundbreaking Faire, the spelling a direct nod to Elizabethan spectacle style fairs, was organized by trade show maestro, editor and activist Jim C, .Warren, Jr. who in later years of the show would roller skate from vendor to vendor. The trade show aimed to meet the growing demands of fledgling computer computers and early tech giants, like Apple and Microsoft, who were eager to sell their affordable home computing systems to the masses. Apple Computer, founded in 1976, is listed among the numerous "Commercial Exhibitors" along with Commodore International Corporation who introduced their Commodore PET, an early micro computer that featured an innovative cassette deck. A significant piece of early computer history ephemera.
