A collection of ten specimen card mounts: eight cards with twenty-four different specimens of grains, seeds and beans under celluloid bubbles and two cards unused in original paper sleeves. Student's name and manuscript identifications on versos. Light rubbing and wear, paper sleeves tattered. Mounts are filled with native and non-native plants to Wisconsin including buckwheat, meadow foxtail, white clover, common milkweed and more. Attributed to student Harvey Geilfuss (1899-1980) who completed a four year course in the study of Agriculture. With graduation program from the fifth ceremony of the Milwaukee County School of Agriculture . Corrugated wraps stamped in gilt with hole punched ribbon tie. 7.5 x 3.75". Very Good with toning, soiling, dulling to gilt and light chipping to cover; Harvey Geilfuss' name is bracketed at the rear. Founded in 1912 the campus was intended for highschool students to have them train as young farm workers instead of dropping out of school in 6th grade.
