The scarce illustrated script for The Holy Mountain director Alejandro Jodorowsky's 1970 bizarre acid western film El Topo. The titular main character, played by Jodorowsky, is a hyper violent gunfighter and cosmic mystic who stumbles into a transformative quest for spiritual enlightenment. Characterized by its graphic scenes, psychedelic allegories, and rampant carnage the film was met with very little distribution and ample controversy. A scarce publication regarding one of the most beloved cult classics in the history of cinema that helped define the phenomenon of "the midnight movie"; favored by the late David Lynch, Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn and actor Dennis Hopper.
