Near Fine with light wear to covers and foxing to textblock edges, first and last few pages, and sporadically throughout. Binding square and firm. In a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with light toning, rubbing, and edgewear, and nibbling to jacket edges confined chiefly to front flap. A fantastic copy of this cornerstone of horror, in the beautiful Virgil Finlay illustrated dust jacket, scarce in this condition. The first book to be published by the legendary Arkham House, printed in a run of just 1,268 copies. Joshi I-A-15.
