Bound in publisher's limp vellum with spine lettered in gilt; three brown silk ties. 11.5 x 8.5", 4to. 91pp. 2 full-page illustrations designed by Burne-Jones; ornamental lettering in black and red with blue floriated initials. Near Fine with slight curling, light toning and rubbing to covers, wear at bottom spine end, fraying and wrinkling to silk ties; contents bright. Housed in a custom red cloth slipcase, spine lettered in gilt. An exceptionally beautiful Kelmscott production, this being one of only two books printed by the press in blue. Morris' morality play based on the Welsh Mabinogion was never a commercial success on initial publication in 1873, but regained appeal in the mid-1890's.
