First edition, first printing. Signed by John Dewey on the front free endpaper and with a short handwritten letter from him in original transmittal envelope laid in. Bound in publisher's original dark blue cloth stamped in gilt. Very Good, cloth lightly soiled, spine sunned and gilt dulled. Worming to front free endpaper. Former owner name to front paste down and marking throughout text. Contents tanned and endhseets offset. Dewey's sent envelope was formerly glued to the rear free endpaper leaving dried glue stains and causing offsetting to adjacent pages. Item #140946883
