Additionally inscribed by Finlay, "For my very good friend, Gerry de la Ree, Best wishes, Virgil Finlay." de la Ree (1924-1993) was a newspaper sports editor, art collector and small-press publisher, chiefly of limited-edition art books assembling work by Hannes Bok, Edd Cartier, Stephen Fabian and Virgil Finlay. Bound in publisher's gray staple bound wraps printed in black; from an edition of 1,000 copies. Very Good+ with slight toning to edge with minor wear at extremities. A few minor inked corrections to text in Smith's hand. The author's privately printed sixth book and first collection of short fiction inscribed to and by the cult favorite sci-fi/fantasy illustrator Finlay and small press publisher Gerry de la Ree.
