Very Good+ with darkening to spine, minor wear at extremities with bumped bottom corners. Rear cloth slightly rippled. Small ink spot on bottom fore edge; former owner's bookplate designed by Laurence Housman on front pastedown. Another former owner's signature on front free endpaper dated 1927, Cambridge. Front free endpaper slightly torn at top gutter. Yeats' series of essays written between 1902-1912, first published in the U.S. Provenance of Sydney Matthewman who founded The Swan Press at Leeds University. Binding designed by Thomas Sturge Moore.
