First edition. The first four volumes (of ten total), Vol. I, Nos. I-IV. Bound in publisher's cloth-backed pictorial boards, printed spine labels. Good condition overall, bindings worn and a little frayed, labels chipped and lacking on Nos. II and III. Front cover on No. II mostly detached and amateurly reattached with archival mending tissue; some dust soiling to extremities. Scuffs to front board of Vol. I. Hole in spine of No. II extending to inner margin of a few pages in middle of volume, perhaps caused by a projectile. Former owner's name on verso of front board. Contents generally bright. Rare.

An important occultist periodical which was mostly written by Crowley, often under pseudonyms. Includes several entries pertaining to hashish including: “The Herb Dangerous” by E.
