Bound in original brown paper-covered boards with upper board stamped with black phoenix design and paper title label to spine. Near Fine with rubbing to corners and light wear to covers, pages toned and lightly foxed heavier at prelims and terminals. A controversial novel for its time, this was banned in both England and America, and not published in the later until 1959. Housed in a custom morocco-backed chemise slipcase. Item #140941982
