Former copy of not only zoologist and embryologist Frank Rattray Lillie (with his name written on front free endpaper, dated in the year of publication) but also from the library of evolutionary biologist Stephen Jay Gould, though not marked. Morgan won the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 1933. A great copy of a landmark work in the field of genetics, with a very distinguished provenance in addition to its rare jacket.
