Signed by Irving Fisher on the front free endpaper, inscribed "Yours for peace." xvi, 268 pp. with illustrations. Bound in publisher's dark navy cloth with gilt lettering, lacking jacket. Early printing (but not the first) of the first edition with later letter code. Near Fine, lettering on spine rubbed, hinges at front and rear starting. A very tidy copy in nice shape for its age. A pro-League of Nations work signed by progressive reformer and economist Irving Fisher. The League of Nations was an interwar international body, a predecessor to the United Nations, which crumbled in the face of Axis aggression before WWII.
