In Good original gold foil dust jacket, unclipped, with triangular chip along spine edge of front panel with closed tear along fold, tear along fold of front flap as well with crease to flap, small splash stain to front panel, chipped at edges. The acclaimed 1839 French novel La Chartreuse de Parme or The Charterhouse of Parma debuted in America over 60 years later with this edition with a slightly different title. Scarce in jacket.
