Limited first edition of 100 copies signed by Montessori on the copyright page, number 75. (1923 only date mentioned but Montessori Research Europe Newsletter 1/2011 makes case for late 1926 publication date.) 119 pp. Green cloth lettered in gilt. In German. Near Fine with clean pages and sharp gilt, slight bowing to back board. A lovely copy. According to the page on the verso of a faux holograph poem, "A part of these lectures was held by Dr. Maria Montessori in 1923 in Brussels and in the same year they were published in French in the periodical La Femme Belge. The translation at hand was done by the working group of the Vienna Montessori school." An important work by the education pioneer with her scarce signature.
