The first American edition was published in January, 1892, and censored many events in the original British text that dealt with more mature themes. This text would later be restored in the second American edition. Very Good. Lean to spine, light rubbing to cloth at corners and spine ends, faint cup ring to front cover. Appears to be lacking the headband, tail band. Previous owner name on front free end paper and title page. A nice copy. Item #170607001
