"Solvable and Unsolvable Problems" in Science News 31
London: Penguin Books, 1954.
First edition. 137pp. with 16 pages of b/w photos and an index. Original orange printed wraps. Very Good with strip of sunning along front cover, light rubbing along edges, and pages toned with age. Father of computer science and artifical intelligence Alan Turing's final publication in a collection, the essay "Solvable and Unsolvable Problems." Significantly it ends not with the customary bibliography but a nod to his student Stephen Kleene and his Introduction to Metamathematics for further reading; Turing politely passed the torch.
