Z mého dětství: dřevoryty (From My Childhood: Woodcuts)
Prague: Orbis, 1929.
First edition. Bound in publisher's cream-colored boards with black stamping to front board. Text in Czech. Very Good+, edges a bit dust-soiled, head worn, pages toned, former owner's woodcut bookplate on verso of front free endpaper, small horizontal tear to one page's margin, in a Very Good dust jacket, worn at head, rubbed along folds, faint dampstain to front panel. Quite rare in dust jacket. The first wordless novel by a woman, an autobiographical tale of middle-class life in Moravia (a rural region of The Czech Republic) told in a series of beautiful woodcuts. A significant though obscure early graphic novel.
