First edition, first printing. Bound in publisher's maroon cloth stamped in gilt, lacking the dust jacket. Good, with cloth stained and gilt stamping partially worn, reading creased to spine. Former owner name and address to front pastedown, hinge at title page slightly over-opened, pages toned and several instances of underlining to text. A scarce first printing of a book Hill claimed was inspired by a suggestion from Andrew Carnegie. Item #140942322
