First edition, first printing. Bound in publisher's maroon cloth stamped in gilt, lacking the dust jacket. Very Good. Spine cloth faintly faded, and with a scratch toward the top end. Cloth lightly rubbed at extremities. Pages toned and with several scuffs to preliminary pages, damage to rear free endpaper with creases and bottom corner lacking. A scarce first printing of a book Hill claimed was inspired by a suggestion from Andrew Carnegie. Item #140942120
