Stragula (1920s German imitation linoleum catalog)
[Berlin]: Deutsche Linoleum-Werke A.-G (DLW), circa 1920s.
Unpaginated. Brown cloth-backed stapled wrappers, lettered in brown and red. Very Good, a little worn and frayed along edges, some foxing to contents, a few pencil notations.
Rare early 1920s linoleum trade catalog from Germany, with many modern designs, often based on rug fabric patterns (for an odd pseudo-homespun aesthetic), and illustrations of sample rooms showcasing spiffy Stragula floors. It was a brand of imitation linoleum made from impregnated bitumen cardboard printed with oil paints.
Price: $400.00
