Three photos of an Industrial Workers of the World bookstore

[?]: Np, ca. 1950?

Three original 10" x 8" black-and-white photos of an IWW bookstore and meeting space, location and date unknown. Very Good. A little curling to photos, corner crease, some silvering to one photo.

Photos show the bookshelves packed with dark hardcover volumes, two older men and a lady (likely some of the coolest members of the Lost Generation whose names we will never know), the Wobbly mottoes "An Injury to One is an Injury to All" and "Abolition of the Wage System!" on banners on the wall, folding chairs stacked up, and a placard for Railroad Workers Industrial Union 520. Difficult to know much more without detailed detective work... This bookstore definitely had an impressively high ceiling... A glimpse into the world of the anarchist union the IWW and radical bookstores in the 20th century. Item #140941295

Price: $250.00
