First edition. Four volumes. First editions of the author's last two published novels. Very Good. Bound in contemporary half-leather over marbled paper-covered boards. Bindings rubbed; joints strengthened and endpapers sympathetically replaced. Previous owner name and date on blank preliminary page in Volume I. Half-title is present in Volume II, present but partially detached in volume III; the other two lacking. Pages toned and age-spotted. Marginal corner loss from 193 of Volume III, not affecting any text. A beautiful set, housed in a custom slipcase. Item #140940843
