In a vivid, very attractive example of the rare dust jacket, Near Fine, with a penciled checkmark on the spine panel, light shelf wear; no fading, hardly any wear. Rare, especially in such nice shape. Whitney's first mystery, reissued under the title The Red Carnelian in 1965. In 1988 she was given the Grand Master Award for lifetime achievement from the Mystery Writers of America.
