First edition. Advance uncorrected proof of the author's first book. Bound in publisher's blue wrappers printed in black, with white comb binding. Laid in are two typed signed letters from Tom Robbins to a collector, both mentioning his admiration for Henry Miller. This copy belonged to novelist Herbert Gold, who has written his name on the front cover and notes about the novel, which he reviewed, on the rear. Very Good with soiling to wraps and a creased snag to the bottom front corner. A scarce format of the author's first published book. Item #140939409
