Second Edition. xi, [1], 496 pp. Publisher's orange cloth lettered in black. Illustrated from drawings, diagrams, etc.; frontispiece portrait of Nikola Tesla from a photograph. A Good copy with some soiling to cloth, spine darkened, tear near head and another at rear gutter near foot, endpapers and flyleaves darkened and brittle, front hinge cracked with evidence of amateur repair, front endpaper edge-chipped, rear hinge cracked and holding at head only, rear free endpaper detached and laid in. With the exception of a penciled-in owner's name contents are unmarked and generally bright.

One of the best-known, most important studies of the work of the famous inventor and electrical and mechanical engineer who invented the first alternating current motor and pioneered AC generation and transmission technology. Includes three lectures by Tesla as well as his writings. The first, second and third editions were all published in 1894, with the same imprint and collation-- all three editions are rare.
