Binding is a later state with star on spine and no publisher imprint at foot.) 229 pp. Original maroon pebbled cloth with gilt lettering and decoration. A Very Good+ copy with rubbing along joints, hinges a bit overopened, small booksellers stamp on paste down. Copy of American expatriate writer Vance Thompson with his name on front free endpaper, Nice, France, 1924. The worlds of science and speculative fiction met in this collection with such classic pieces as "What is the Fourth Dimension?" and "A Plane World"-- the latter often being compared to Edwin Abbott's Flatland.
