New York: The Viking Press, 1926.
First edition, first printing. A fantastic association copy between two major Harlem Renaissance figures, signed and inscribed by James Weldon Johnson to Eric Walrond, misspelled "Waldron" as was common then (by The Chicago Defender and Marcus Garvey, for example) and now. Walrond was an Afro-Carribean author, poet and journalist, best known for his novel Tropic Death, also published in 1926. Bound in publisher's grey-blue decorated cloth, lacking the dust jacket. Near Fine with light rubbing to cloth at extremities, and toning to pages. A superb association between to leading lights of the Harlem Renaissance. Item #140939191
