First edition, first printing. Bound in publisher's coarse pale green cloth, stamped in white and green. Near Fine, with spine cloth slightly darkened and lightly bruised at the ends, several small scuffs to cloth, previous owner name to front free endpaper and pages toned. A semi-factual, semi-fictional account of a summer community at Macatawa Park, Michigan, of which the name Tamawaca was taken in anagram. Written under pseudonym and privately published by L. Frank Baum, who purchased a summer home in Macatawa Park in 1900 with proceeds from his first major success, Father Goose. A beautiful copy. Item #140938498
