First edition, first printing. Publisher's red cloth with gilt spine lettering. Near Fine with slight rubbing at tips, toning to pages. In a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with a short closed tear to the top edge of the front panel, a small nick to the front spine fold near the foot, light rubbing, and light toning. Shakur was active in the Black Liberation Army and briefly a Black Panther Party member. She was charged with the murder of a state trooper, though escaped prison and fled to Cuba, where she was granted political asylum. First editions of her autobiography are scarce. Item #140938496
