666 "The Hymn" To "Lucifer"
San Francisco: Freewheelin Frank, 1968.
First edition. 12 loose, single-sided sheets (approx. 8" x 10.25") printed in color, laid into folder. Near Fine folder with a little toning and foxing, Fine sheets.
San Francisco secretary of the Hell's Angels Motorcycle Club Frank Reynolds told his life story to Beat poet Michael McClure who had it published in 1966 by the always-hip Grove Press. This follow-up is a collection of illustrated poems passed out for free in the spirit of The Diggers. It reads like a sleeve of prison tattoos: colorful, ephemeral, full of misspellings, and impressive.
