Signed by Ida Tarbell in black ink on front free endpaper of first volume. First edition. (Howes T-33.) xix, 406; xiii, 409 pp. with illustrations. Original ribbed maroon cloth, blindstamped front boards, gilt lettered spines, gilt topstains. Complete in two volumes. Very Good+ with slight mottling and soiling to cloth, bumped corners, scrape to back board of first volume with a few small ink dots; contents bright and unmarked, very slight waviness, a few roughly-opened pages. A very nice set. Rarely found signed or inscribed.
