First issue with the headline on page 1 in rustic type, the woodcut of Mr. Steyne on page 336 which was later suppressed, and "Mr. Pitt" for "Sir Pitt" on page 453; bound without ads. Finely bound in somewhat contemporary three-quarter leather over marbled paper covered boards; with raised bands and elaborate gilt tooling to the spine. Binding and gilt stamping is rubbed. Pages toned. Foxing, staining browning to plates (as is typical), with occasional offsetting from images onto adjacent pages. Illustrated on steel and wood by the author. Item #140937843
